Elecseed signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and a statement of cooperation (SOC) for the production of green hydrogen for South Australia’s green cement manufacturing project with the South Australian State Government, the Hallett Group, and Korea Hydro Nuclear Power at the South Australian State Energy and Mining Department on July 11^th, 2023.

The Hallett Group is a manufacturer of construction materials such as cement and is carrying out a green cement conversion project with funding of approximately AUD$20 million (US$13 million) from the Australian government. Typically, cement manufacturing emits a significant amount of carbon as waste or by using fossil fuels. In contrast, green cement drastically reduces carbon emissions by producing cement with hydrogen generated from solar power plants and electrolysis equipment. The surplus hydrogen is planned to be supplied to nearby hydrogen filling stations.
