KOMIPO / Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd

KOMIPO, a government owned power generation company located in South Korea, provides around 10% of Korea’s total generation capacity. Globally, KOMIPO has over 20GW of power plants in operation or under development and construction. As of September 2020, KOMIPO had AUD 5.8billion of total revenues and AUD 16.02 billion of total assets. Equipped with these substantial financial capabilities, KOMIPO has been actively developing and acquiring generation capacity globally. KOMIPO’s credit rating is Aa2 (Moody’s) as of October 2019 and AA (S&P Global) as of October 2020. KOMIPO is actively seeking overseas power assets with its proven record of accomplishment and financial strength.

Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology

The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology is a national research university located in Daedeok Innopolis, Daejeon, South Korea. KAIST was established by the Korean government in 1971 as the nation’s first public, research-oriented science, and engineering institution. KAIST is our partner in a research project.

Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP)

Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP) is Korea’s largest electric power company which provides over 34% of the country’s total power. KHNP owns and operates Korea’s 21 Nuclear Power Plants along with 27 hydro-electric power plants. Services provided by KHNP – ranked 3rd globally in Nuclear capacity – range from feasibility studies and technical assistance on plant design modification and improvement to overseas operation of Korean NPPs. KHNP employs roughly 7,600 employees.
